SIFE Ryerson’s $tart $mart Financial Literacy Program
Is service a big part of your life? Run by students, the $tart $mart Program is one of seven programs run by SIFE Ryerson. At the 2009 ACE National Exposition the $tart $mart Program was awarded 1st Place out of over 40 SIFE teams and was recognized as the best financial literacy program run by a SIFE team in Canada.
$tart $mart positively influences the lives and financial decision making of those we work with by delivering customized education programs through our newly developed comprehensive model. This scalable program uses an award winning model and a step by step process to create customized education plans that cater to the specific needs to those most in need of financial literacy. The $tart $mart Program positively impacts the lives of students, at-risk youth, and women. The program holds workshops at Ryerson University, high schools and institutions. The program is always looking for new members as facilitators and account managers. Do you have a school/institution in mind that could benefit from this program?
If you would like to hear more about the program from a team member who is currently involved with the program, send rufs@ryerson.ca an email, and she will get back to you. Otherwise, contact the Director of $tart $mart, Adaora at bus.adaora@gmail.com, to get program details and get involved!
