Kevin Alfred
President
Kevin is in his fourth year of study at Ryerson University. His major is in finance and his minor is in accounting. His future goals include working in the finance field, in particular, wealth management. He is currently acting as the President of the Ryerson University Finance Society.
Emilie Ong
Vice President
Emilie is a fourth year Finance student at Ryerson University. She is interested in risk management and the credit markets. This is her second year serving on the RUFS. As Vice-President, she will be liaising with internal and external bodies to bring enriching events and services on campus. She enjoys following the news, volunteering and being in downtown’s most lively scenes.
Nimat Alam
Vice President, Administration
Nimat is a fourth year Finance student with a minor in Public Administration at Ryerson University. Her careers interests are in financial planning and budgeting. She plans to pursue either a CFP or CMA designation in the long-term. As Vice President of Administration, her responsibilities include scheduling meetings, and to lead, guide, and mentor the team in their tasks and functions and ensure goals are met. She enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling to different cities.
Mikhil Chopra
Vice President, Corporate
Mikhil Chopra is a fourth year student at the Ted Rogers School of Management, currently pursuing a major in Finance with a minor in marketing. He plans on working in the diverse and exciting field of private equity which will enable him to aid growing companies achieve their future goals and reach their maximum potential. As Vice President – Corporate, his responsibilities include actively developing and promoting the RUFS brand among the Canadian financial industry through direct contact with finance professionals and companies. He is the primary liaison for any corporate communication and is responsible for establishing key industry relationships in order to create long lasting partnerships.
Nima Mehjoo
Director of Corporate Relations
Nima Mehjoo is in a third year business student, pursuing a major in Finance and a minor in Entrepreneurship. In the future he plans to break into the competitive field of asset management. Currently, he works closely with Ryerson’s corporate relations team to create the best strategy in attracting sponsorship. His responsibilities include creating relationships with corporate clients and promoting the RUFS brand. He is committed to making RUFS the best it can be.
Jyoti Kumar
Chair, External Competition
Jyoti is a fourth year Accounting student with a minor in Finance at Ryerson University. She is pursuing her CA designation and plans to work in the financial industry. Her responsibilities, as the Chair of Competitions for RUFS, include holding and organizing a national case competition at Ryerson. She also assists in networking with industry professionals to bring various financial workshops to Ryerson.
Jedidiah Andres
Vice President, Finance
Jedidiah is a 3rd year Accounting student with a minor in Finance. Her career goal is to become an accountant. Her responsibilities in RUFS include planning, and creating engaging events for the student body during the school year. She is interested in traveling the world and learning different languages.
Kate Villanueva
Co-Chair, Events
Kate is a third year Business Management student with a major in Accounting and a minor in Finance. As she shares a passion for both accounting and finance, she hopes to pursue her CA designation and someday, get experience in Corporate Finance. As Chair of Events, she works closely with the rest of the team to ensure RUFS delivers events that are beneficial to the Ryerson community and to promote the finance student body.
Kajalucksan (Lucksan) Mylvaganam
Co-Chair, Events
Lucksan is Business Management student with specialization in Finance with a minor in Accounting. Lucksan has worked hard to perfect his experience and skills working analytically, individually, and in teams. Lucksan has proven his excellent time management skills having acted as a member of several affiliated student groups while maintaining full time employment. Lucksan has previous experience acting in a leadership role during his membership with affiliated groups. As the Chair of Events and Gala, his primary responsibilities include organizing the annual Ryerson University Finance Society gala along with other various events and competitions.
Saad Rahman
Co-Chair, Events
Sadequr or Saad, as everyone knows him, is a third year student with a Finance Major and Marketing Minor. His career interests include working abroad within a company that holds a multinational presence in Media Arts and attaining his MBA degree. His position as VP of Events/Gala include liaising event logistics and working with bodies inside and outside of TRSM to deliver the most impacting speaker events, galas and career-oriented workshops possible. He is currently involved with numerous student groups, a member of the Ryerson Dragonboat Team and works both at TD Canada Trust in Retail Banking and as a photographer for Sharpshooter Imaging. Saad will also be on the cover of Forbes magazine in approximately… 10 years.
